All of us love to get a hole in one, and when we do to brag about it to our friends, relatives and fellow golfers. With that in mind we created a club, so you can publicize your skill (luck) and also get a reward.

If you or another member of your group has a hole in one, send us the information. It will be included in the next issue of our Newsletter. The golfer will receive a $25 Gift Certificate from Golf Exclusives, good for future golf travel with us.

On The Road Again

Well not quite. As we did last year, we are going to tell you about a destination that the management team of Golf Exclusives will be visiting soon. And the winner is… San Diego!

Our next trip is San Diego in February. We will be staying at Sycuan Resort and Casino, formerly the Singing Hills resort. The resort is consistently rated among the top semi-private golf courses in San Diego County. Owned and operated by the Sycuan Tribal Development Corporation (an entity chartered by the Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Indians), it includes more than 425 acres of lush, picturesque mountain terrain, and offers guests two 18-hole championship courses, a challenging par-3 course and 11 tournament tennis courts. Sycuan Resort offers guests the unique combination of a true resort experience and exciting Native American casino action, world-class golf and tennis, recently renovated guest rooms and a choice of award-winning restaurants. Amenities include 103 rooms, 2 championship golf courses, 2 swimming pools, 12 tennis courts, fitness room, 4 Five Star restaurants, The Golf School for Women, nearby 300,000 foot entertainment facility and the Sycuan Casino.

The two courses on property are Oak Glen and Willow Glen, both redesigned by Ted Robinson. Oak Glen is a beautiful par 72 course with mature landscaped surroundings. The course contains many undulating greens and challenging fairways. Besides the Sweetwater River which runs throughout the course, there are many small ponds that create for an exciting round of golf. Oak Glen guarantees a fun-filled day of challenging fairways, tough hazards, and undulating greens.

Willow Glen is a challenging par 72 course with tight, narrow fairways and strategically placed bunkers. The Sweetwater River occasionally runs along the course and its channel comes into play on many of the holes, providing for fantastic scenery and challenging shots. The course contains several dogleg holes and many elevation changes and water crossings that will challenge and entertain the golfer throughout the day.

Beside these two courses, we are also playing Mt Woodson which is nearby. This picturesque course, situated in a quiet valley, was built on the natural terrain. The fast greens are well manicured, and the fairways are plush. An abundance of wildlife roams freely throughout the course, and every hole features views of the beautiful Ramona Mountains. This course and its personnel recently received an environmental award for the way in which they built a wooden trestle, golf cart bridge, which takes you to the third tee. The bridge crosses over a canyon sixty feet above a creek, resulting in a very scenic view. The terrain is hilly, so you should expect many uneven lies and changes in elevation.

Other courses in the San Diego area that we recommend are Torrey Pines, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Redhawk, Ranch Bernardo, Temecula Creek and Vineyard.

Two resorts that are also our favorites are the Rancho Bernardo Inn and the Temecula Creek Inn. We have had customers come back with good reviews on these properties.

Rancho Bernardo Inn is California’s hidden gem boasting luxurious accommodations, a championship golf course and one of San Diego’s best restaurants.
