UNIGLOBE-Easter Seals Outing
It's time again to sign up for the 5th annual charity event. $50 of your registration goes directly to Easter Seals on your behalf. Easter Seals is our favorite charity. See the attached Registration Form.
This year's event offers a great day of golf at a challenging new course.
But…. The prizes are the reason to attend. Again this year, you will have an opportunity to win from an array of golf trips, vacations, equipment, hotel stays and restaurant certificates. All in the name of supporting Easter Seals.
Send your registration in today. Groups of all sizes are welcome. Call Barb Labelle if you have any questions. See you June 19!

On the Road Again
We love to travel anywhere to play golf. This time, Betty and I went to Phoenix, Chandler and Mesa AZ, and our partner, Geoff Georgas went to Scottsdale. Our reports follow:
Scottsdale: The best courses in the area are Talking Stick, as a warmup, TPC Stadium for bragging rights, and Desert Mountain. Grayhawk Talon is really nice, but bring you're A game.
If you are looking for a conveniently located 36 holes, we recommend a combination of Las Sendas and Red Mountain.
Phoenix: Just south of Sky Harbor airport are a bunch of great courses. We stayed at the Legacy Resort, site of the 2000 Ping LPGA tourney. The newer course is very playable for the average golfer. We also played at Karsten, a target course at ASU, and at Ocotillo, a beautiful course in Chandler, filled with water. Can you imagine water in the desert? Other courses nearby that we visited and would recommend are Phantom Horse at Hilton South Mountain, The Raven, and Foothills.
We recommend the accommodations at the Legacy and at Hawthorn Suites in Chandler.
In our next report we will visit Midwest courses in Amana IA, and the new Deere Run TPC course in Moline. Until then….
Mike Fitzgerald
