Website Update

We have listened to your ideas for making our website more user-friendly. The result is a new improved site that is going live as this letter is being published. Significant changes are as follows:

1. Each Featured Destination has sample 3-day package that can be purchased or customized.
2. We have golfed at all Featured Destinations except Ireland, and with a name like Fitzgerald, we hope that is in our near future!
3. We have a Pro on call that will travel with you and give tips and lessons (see more below)

Meet Our Pro

Margie Muzik began playing golf at the age of 10 in Naperville, IL. She decided early on that she wanted to be a professional golfer and now is a member of the PGA and LPGA. She has been a golf instructor for 15 years, spending much of her time as the Director of Instruction at a local country club.

Since most of the golfing season in the Midwest is from May to September, golfers (including Margie!) use indoor golf domes and/or head to warmer climates to golf during the winter months. This allows her to continue teaching even though there is snow on the ground at home. Through Golf Exclusives, she travels to locations such as Florida, Arizona, Las Vegas, or California to maintain her golf game. She believes that traveling to a golf vacation resort with a golf pro at your side is one of the best ways to improve your golf game. It's the only way to get 100% of your instructor's time from lesson tee to the links!

On the Road Again

Editor's note: We planned to review Our Lucaya in this newsletter. Because their casino isn't yet open, we decided to postpone our visit. Instead, Betty, Phil, Marie and myself just returned from a visit to our newest Featured Destination, Saddlebrook Resort, Florida.

Saddlebrook is located in Wesley Chapel, Florida, approximately 30 minutes north of Tampa. The family-owned resort boasts 500 units, either one, two, or 3-bedroom condos. The upscale accommodations are right on the property and are ideal for couples, or groups of golfers. We stayed in a two-bedroom condo, and had plenty of space to stretch out and watch the Olympics.

Saddlebrook has two championship courses on property. Saddlebrook is a 6,564 yard par 70 course with a 127 slope. Water is the key hazard on this course and the other Saddlebrook course, the Palmer course. Palmer is a 6,469 yard, par 71 course with a 134 slope.

Both courses were in terrific condition and are ideal for couples and groups. If you want to play more than two rounds, you can replay these courses, or visit nearby TPC of Tampa, Lake Jovita or World Woods. These, too, are top quality courses.

Dining at Saddlebrook is a gourmet experience. They have 7 dining options, two of which are fine dining: Cypress Room and Dempsey's Steakhouse. We visited TD's Sports Bar for drinks and a sandwich, and celebrated with a great seafood dinner at the Cypress Room. Nearby is Pancho Villa, a hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant with fajitas not be missed.
